The Academic Assessment Cycle

The assessment cycle has several steps to follow. Each step in the assessment cycle is interactive and provides resources for completing that stage. Note that the cycle is circular. That means there is no distinct end to assessment; it is ongoing. But for the purpose of this site, the cycle begins with goal setting. While similar, there is an assessment cycle for academic curricula and one for administrative units.

FAQ

Why is the assessment process a cycle?

Assessment is a continuous improvement process, meaning that the end of one cycle informs the beginning of another.
