Data collection is an integral part of the assessment cycle. After the program has been mapped to account for which courses address each Student Learning Outcome (SLO) within the program, the data that supports the measurement of the SLO can be collected.
There are typically two types of measures utilized for assessment purposes: direct measures and indirect measures. Once measures are decided upon, data must be collected and utilized.
